1820 Magazine
1820 Magazine was the brainchild of Italian photographer, Marco Paone. He wanted to showcase Italian culture through the lens of an international audience. This meant having to create an identity that was gastronomic and the elements that contribute to the world of gastronomy; people & culture. Interviewing globally known chefs such as Norbert Niederkofler & Carlo Cracco to conversations with Nonna's and business people, 1820 showcased what Italy truly is.
The overall task that I was handed over a period of time started with creative writing translations moving into digital magazine editorship and creating a new online diary/digital magazine to broaden the scope of the work and to create a new audience at the same time. From creating & managing a social media presence of 10K+ to directing new business documentation and securing exclusive partnerships, 1820 Magazine worked against the stereotypes of Italy and instead showcased a real identity that had yet to be told.
In 9 months of digital development, I was responsible for overseeing 70% of the content on site and having over 1 million unique page views from organic traffic.
